Located in the heart of Banff, Tony Roma’s is “the pioneer of baby back ribs.” This is one of 170 locations in 32 countries. Other specialties include AAA Alberta steaks, slow-roasted BBQ chicken, and pork and prime rib with award-winning Original and Red Hots sauces. Three-course kids’ meals are from $8. Daily appetizer and drinks specials vary throughout the year.


The restaurant has a family-friendly atmosphere and large groups are accommodated with banquet room options. Window-side booths offer main street views and the lounge has HDTVs that show sports including every NHL and NFL game.

  • Breakfast: Pancake Platter; Breakfast Burrito; Omelettes; Mountain Morning Feasts; Eggs Benedict: classic ham, classic bacon, prime rib, bleu cheese
  • Breakfast Buffet: daily in summer; weekends and holidays in winter
  • Appetizers: steak and wild mushroom flatbread; kickin’ shrimp in spicy cream sauce; onion loaf (giant hand-cut Spanish onions, breaded and deep fried)
  • The Original Back Ribs: TR’s Original BBQ sauce; served with two sides
  • Certified Angus Beef AAA Steaks: 10-oz New York, 16-oz ribeye; add shrimp skewer, sautéed mushrooms or onions, cabernet demi-glace
  • Burgers: steakhouse (cabernet demi-glace, rosemary bacon, havarti); crispy onion (topped with fried onion rings); flame grilled wild mushroom havarti
  • Sandwiches and Panini: slow roasted tender hand-pulled pork; steak panini; turkey cheddar melt; Nolita deli (smoked roasted turkey, Genoa salami)
  • Mediterranean Linguine: garlic butter shrimp, fresh basil and tomato pesto
  • Grilled Chicken Spinach Stack: two chicken breasts covered with four cheeses, artichoke hearts and creamy spinach, served with rice and a side
  • Rack of Lamb: pan-seared then grilled; garlic mashed potatoes, roasted veggies
  • Beef Short Rib: cabernet demi-glace, fire-roasted veggies, mashed potatoes
  • Slow Roasted AAA Prime Rib of Beef: with au jus (available after 4 pm)
  • Desserts: apple cranberry tart; Boston cream cake; raspberry brownie
    royale; strawberry cheesecake; red velvet cake; chocolate layer cake
