Family owned and operated by the Yuh family, the long-established Mountain Restaurant is a casual staple of the Lake Louise dining scene. The restaurant features international cuisine, including Korean, alongside Canadian favourites. Next door, Javalanche Café serves hot breakfasts, fresh baked treats, soups, salads, custom-made sandwiches, grilled paninis, ice cream, milkshakes, Banff Roasting Co. coffee and espresso bar offerings to-go.

Atmosphere

Located a block off the Trans-Canada Highway, Mountain Restaurant offers rustic décor, carved pine tables and chairs, and large south-facing windows that showcase a sweeping mountain vista.

  • Appetizers: Soup of the Moment; Red Curry Coconut Fish Taco; Quinoa Bowl; Smoked Ham Poutine; Falafel with Tzatziki; Chicken Tenders; Yam Fries with Chipotle Mayo; Vegan Platter: house-made tahini dip, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, pita bread, beet and corn tortilla chips; Caesar Salad
  • Burgers: House-made Mountain Burger: Alberta beef patty with bacon, cheddar, BBQ sauce and chipotle mayo; Beyond Burger: 100% plant based patty, served on a beer bun, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes; Cheese Burger; Spicy Chicken Burger
  • Creamy Tuscan Chicken: pan-fried chicken breast with a cream and sundried tomato pesto sauce
  • Chicken and Ribs: half rack of marinated ribs and butterfly style BBQ chicken
  • Grilled Bulgogi: thin cut soy marinated beef striploin with onions, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, green cabbage and peppers served on a sizzling hot plate with short grain rice
  • 10 oz Striplon:  21 day aged AAA steak served with vegetables and focaccia bread
  • Balsamic Glazed Salmon: pan-fried, red wine balsamic glaze
  • Gorgonzola Chicken Penne: chicken breast, broccoli and mushrooms in a gorgonzola cream sauce
  • Shrimp Sundried Tomato Basil Linguine: house-made sundried tomato, basil and feta cream sauce
