A tempting selection of the best restaurants in Banff & Lake Louise
Wednesday evenings June through September in Lake Louise (private events are hosted other times; enquiries are welcomed)
The Brewster family has offered trail rides and western cookouts for over 100 years. The tradition continues with a horse or wagon ride to the barn dance in Lake Louise Wednesday evenings from June to September. Star of the buffet is a 35-pound hip of beef roast that is barbecued, basted in its own juices, transported by pitchfork to the table and custom carved for each guest. Blue enamel dinner plates contribute to the authentic western meal.
Brewster’s Dance Barn is a tribute to Canada’s western heritage. There is a ranch house style wrap-around patio, knotty wood paneled walls and a dance floor of boards built for stomping. Decor highlights include wagon wheels, tack, lantern lighting and historic photos depicting cowboy life.
Dance the night away to the music of Suds, Banff’s favourite country and rock band.
