The many dining venues at the grand, historic Fairmont Banff Springs hotel welcome all; choices range from elegant to casual. Most popular is the Bow Valley Grill that showcases fresh regional cuisine from an impressive open kitchen where chefs display their talents. Buffets at breakfast, weekend brunch and seasonal dinners are sumptuous affairs with a spectacular array of offerings.


The Scottish baronial décor (with sculptures and tables crafted by local Alberta artisans), incredible Fairholme Mountain Range view and relaxing atmosphere contribute to a memorable dining experience.

  • Breakfast: buffet; continental buffet; classic breakfast; croque madame; French toast or pancakes; three-egg omelette; eggs Benedict; lighter fare and additions available
  • Soups: of the day; chilled vichysoisse
  • Salads: romaine heart; house smoked salmon; summer greens watermelon
  • Appetizers: beef carpaccio; chilled prawns; tuna poke; pork gyozas; BBQ pork ribs
  • Miso Glazed Salmon: stir fried vegetables, lemongrass and ginger broth
  • Farro and Barley: tomato, grapes, watercress, goat cheese
  • Chicken: herbed mashed potato, mushroom, chicken glaze
  • Rocky Mountain Trout: warm potato salad, tomato, cucumber, arugula
  • Alberta Beef Tenderloin: asparagus, vegetables, smashed Yukon, bacon veal glaze
  • Striploin Steak and Frites: garlic rosemary pommes frites, red wine jus
  • 8-oz Alberta Beef Burger: crispy kale, horseradish dijon, pickled red onion, deep fried pickle, grilled tomato marmalade, powder hound pilsner and cheddar sauce
  • Pork Shoulder: tomato, roasted corn, smashed Yukon, salsa verde, chipotle honey
  • Coconut Curry: spicy coconut milk, lime rice, shrimp, cilantro, cashews
  • Roast Alberta Prime Rib: seasonal vegetable, mashed potato, horseradish Yorkshire pudding, red wine jus
  • Other Banff Springs Restaurants: Italian, Japanese, Alpine, Canadian, Stanley’s Smokehouse, Indian Summer, plus live music, lounges and more
