Located off the lobby of the Delta Banff Royal Canadian Lodge, this hidden gem is too often overlooked by visitors. The Evergreen Restaurant & Lounge delivers “elegance without attitude” and the best of Canadian cuisine. Executive chef Loyd Winters and his expert culinary team transform local ingredients into globally influenced dishes that highlight the flavours of Alberta. Seasonal, locally themed specials change during the year.

Atmosphere

This Banff restaurant features an open kitchen. The dining room is both elegant with linen tablecloths and cozy with a roaring fire. The relaxed lounge offers lots of natural light, a big screen showing sports and high seats at the counter.

Breakfast & Lunch Menu Samples

  • Breakfast: mountain Sunrise Omelette; Classic Eggs Benedict; Steak and Eggs; Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes; Healthy Hiker’s Breakfast
  • Warm Goat Cheese Salad: fried goat cheese, pumpkin seeds and pear dressing
  • Centre Cut New York Steak Sandwich; Bow River Clubhouse Sandwich
  • Royal Canadian Lodge Burger: double smoked bacon, cheddar
  • Garden Tomato Flatbread: mozzarella, ricotta, mushroom and pesto drizzle

Dinner Menu Samples

  • Small Plates: signature tomato soup; traditional Caesar salad
  • Canadian Elk Medallions: port wine cherry sauce, potatoes and vegetables
  • Braised Alberta Bison Short Ribs: in a sweet and spicy Asian marinade
  • Seared Canadian Arctic Char: spiced corn ragout, chardonnay cream
  • Chicken Breast Supreme: hon-shimeji mushrooms, seasonal vegetables, whipped potatoes, and tomato and red onion jam
  • AAA Alberta steak (with baby roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and
    choice of sauce): centre cut filet, rib eye, New York striploin
  • Desserts: flourless bittersweet chocolate cake with Baileys sauce and roasted almond ice cream; homemade ice cream and sorbet; daily feature
